ABOUT ME

In 2021 Rik received a diagnosis of Parkinsons . The only
proper responses were a little cry and a new album.

Gigging would be a challenge, so Rik left The Kentish Spires
to focus on his own material.

The albums are drenched in the spirit of Prog (Progressive
rock music) but also explore other genres.

He envisaged some stunning guitar and sax elements so
enlisted the help of friends Nick Fletcher (John Hackett
band) and Chris Egan (The Kentish Spires and Nuadha)

He also wanted to work with talented audio
engineers... cue Paul Cobbold (ex Rockfield) and David
Pickering Pick (FFG studio) on mixing and mastering duties.

Something good shall arise from this dark time!

NEW! Album Sans Dopamine 2026

This is Rik's 4th CD since receiving a life changing diagnosios of Parkinsons in 2021. The album's title, Sans Dopamine, references the belief that Parkinsons symptoms (especially tremor) arise from the decline and death of dopamine producing cells in the brain.
